Noticed in today's Salamat po Dok program that ur left eyelid lagged as U blinked. Ur guest Dr mentioned that cause of Bell's palsy is often idiopathic (unknown cause) but he also mentioned virus as the cause. I wld like to inform U that Bell's palsy is secondary to water shortage of the body. It is for that reason that most victims have an earlier experience of being exposed to wind or air conditioning. These aggravate the dehydrated state of the facial area causing paralysis of the facial nerve which is Bell's palsy. Hydrate properly and recover faster. Physiotherapy will be useless if U do not correct the dehydration first. Caffeine containing substances like coffee, tea, soft drinks, energy drinks, chocolates and alcoholic beverages are diuretics and will worsen the condition so it is a must to avoid them.
If U wld like to know the details pls get in touch.
Thanks!

The primary cause of Bell's palsy is dehydration or water shortage of the facial nerve. This is usually aggravated by exposure to strong wind or air conditioning. So to resolve it, proper hydration is necessary otherwise improvement will be very slow. Steroids won't help much since it cannot hydrate the affected nerve.
